This session is for beginning designers or those who are considering a design career. Learn the basics of what defines good design. Before that, though we’ll need to answer the even more fundamental question “What is design?”

In addition to being Adobe's webinar instructor, Atooshi and Design is a graphic designer, teacher at Tokyo Designer Gakuin College, and a member of Japan Typography Association. He is accomplished within the Japan design community, and has been acknowledged for the the Good Design Award, the Annual Best Work Award of Japan Typography, theTokyo TDC Award, Japan Package Design Award, and more. Additionally, he has authored books, such as "(new edition of) Become a Designer!" by MdN, Instructor of Adobe Design webinar, Interviewed by Raido NIKKEI and more.
Real name is HIroto Nagai born in Tokyo. Graduated from Meiji University, and Tokyo Designer Gakuin College. He worked in 2 design companies, including an ad agency and brand consulting firm. After that, he established his own company Atooshi. His concept of graphic design is "Logo design and branding that give purpose/goal a form". With this concept, he works as a graphic designer, mainly on the logo design and branding for products, corporates, shops, services, apps and content.
He also actively evangelizes "design" itself, such as "what is design and tips on how to think design" through various media, including authoring a book and lecturing. His motto and goal is "Teach design to non-designer," with "the easiest and most interesting" way.
