It can also help you save some pennies during the festive season, as you’re usually tasked with purchasing a gift for just one person instead of the entire group.

We know coming up with Secret Santa ideas can be challenging, so we’ve created this helpful Adobe Express guide to give you some inspiration. You can pick and choose from the different ideas to suit your group budget – and make sure no one ends up with a piece of coal in their Christmas stocking.

Good to know.

How do you present a Secret Santa gift?

You can wrap your Secret Santa gift up, add their name on a custom label and place it under a Christmas tree (or other shared area) for them to find. If it’s a work Secret Santa, try to place it by their desk when they’re not looking.

When do you exchange Secret Santa gifts?

Mid-December is usually a good time to exchange Secret Santa gifts. This allows enough time for everyone to get their gift just in time for the festive season. If you’re doing the exchange with family, you might want to wait until the main event on Christmas Day or Boxing Day.

What is the budget for Secret Santa presents?

You can set your own budget for your group’s Secret Santa – just try to make sure it’s a figure that everyone is comfortable with. Usually, a budget of between £5 to £15 is sufficient.
