1. Create your video.
The first step in creating your masterpiece is putting together the TikTok video itself. Click on the app and go to the home screen, then tap the ‘Plus’ button located at the bottom centre of your screen. You can then record a video directly in the app or upload one from your camera roll.
2. Apply text-to-speech.
Select the “Aa” text box button on the far right and type the script you want your voiceover to recite. You can also record a voiceover and then later use the AI ’voice effects’ to alter the sound of your voice.
3. Choose your AI voice.
If you used text, just tap the ‘Text-to-speech’ button just above your text box. You’ll see a menu with AI voiceovers to choose from, including characters like ‘Granny’ and ‘Jessie’. Select a voice to hear a sample. The app categorises different AI voices by tone and use, for example, if you’re creating a funny video, just click on the ‘Humour’ tab.
4. Edit your video.
TikTok has a variety of video editing tools to help create your content. From video transitions to a range of subtitle fonts, you’ve got everything you need all in one place.
