Summary/Overview
AI tools are now part of everyday video creation
AI video tools have quickly become a fixture in creator workflows, and most target audiences have responded positively.
AI video tools aren’t niche anymore, as 71% of video creators have already incorporated them into their content workflows. Of these users, 41% reported using them weekly, while another 40% said they use them occasionally. Just 19% said they've only tried the tools once or twice.
AI video tool adoption spans many major platforms, with the majority of video creators who are posting on Facebook (82%), Instagram (75%), TikTok (75%), and YouTube (74%) report using AI. LinkedIn had the highest share of weekly AI video tool users at 58%, which is nearly double the rate of TikTok creators (30%).
The most common uses for AI are in post-production. Editing tops the list (58%), followed by transitions and effects (42%), thumbnail creation (37%), music selection (37%), and voiceovers (36%). Audience response has been mostly neutral or positive. Roughly a third (31%), noticed AI edits but didn't mind them, 23% haven't noticed at all, and just 2% reacted negatively.
Creators are seeing real results with AI use
For many creators, AI tools aren't just time-savers. They're changing how work gets done, how much gets published, and how it performs. The benefits span production, creativity, and even monetization.
More than half of creators (56%) said AI saves them over 30 minutes per video, with 10% cutting more than four hours from their workflow. These gains scale with team size. Among larger teams (those with four or more members), 50% saved over two hours per video. That's double the rate of smaller teams (25%) and nearly triple that of solo creators (18%).
More than a quarter of creators (27%) said that AI tool use increases their confidence in their final content, and 26% experienced both faster turnaround times and better consistency in posting. Creative experimentation is also on the rise, with 24% using AI to explore new formats.
There's also momentum around audience and revenue growth. Nearly one in five reported higher watch time or completion rates (19%) and better engagement (17%). Among creators who have done brand deals, 24% reported landing more sponsorships since adopting AI. Satisfaction is also up, as 42% reported higher client satisfaction, 40% got more brand partnerships, and 28% saw higher CPMs or sponsorship rates.
Future needs focus on automation and smarter tools
As AI video tools evolve, creators are signaling what they need next and where they still have concerns. For now, most say platforms are stable, and interest in deeper automation is growing.
Platform issues are rare: 79% of creators haven't encountered any AI-related policy problems. With AI use becoming the norm, 50% of creators said they feel pressure to adopt it so they can keep up with the competition.
Spending reflects the momentum of AI tool adoption. One-third of creators are maintaining current budgets, and half plan to increase them. Just 3% expect to scale back their spending.
Looking ahead, creators want tools that do more. The most requested features are automation-based and include auto-repurposing video content (19%), instant platform-specific edits (14%), and AI-assisted edits while filming (14%). Others are looking for predictive support, such as audience reaction forecasts (13%) or AI that generates recommendations on what to create next (11%).
AI helps creators do more
From saving time in post-production to increasing audience engagement, AI video tools are already making a big impact. Creators across platforms use them to boost confidence, publish more consistently, and grow their brands. As adoption rises, so does the demand for smarter, more automated features that support creativity and strategy. No matter where you are in your content journey, the right tools can help you work faster and stand out.
